In my school, resource management means using human, financial, and material resources strategically to support teaching and learning and achieve school goals efficiently. It is not just about availability, but about effective allocation based on priorities and student needs.
An example of effective resource management is strategic staff deployment, where teachers’ skills are matched to subject and learner needs, improving outcomes without increasing costs. Another example is the shared use of learning materials and digital resources, which reduces duplication and encourages collaboration.
To motivate and support staff, the school uses professional development, mentoring, and recognition of good performance. These strategies help staff feel valued and supported. However, improvements are needed in structured career progression and regular developmental feedback.
Going forward, I would like to see better workload management, more transparent and inclusive budgeting, and improved planning for physical resources.
