1. How SIP is used in my school to guide development and decision-making.

We use our SIP to decide which areas need the most urgent work by allocating estimated tasks and budgets for the school. The short- and long-term changes to be effected in the school to improve performance. SIP is also used to understand and monitor how learners are performing Stakeholders use it for an accountable purpose for the success of students' performance

2. Strategies to involve teachers, learners, parents, and community members in the process include:

Teachers assess the learners in different ways and formulate strategies to improve the level of achievement for the learners. Teachers also support the plan by providing correct information about the learners.

Learners take ownership of the plan by participating in the process. To understand and discuss the plan within and among themselves

Parents and community members set goals and prioritize urgent areas for improvement. They should review, consult, and encourage community members to work closely with partners.

3. Challenges faced and how they were overcome.

The biggest challenge was about inadequate resources. We embarked on fundraising ( Mufti Day) with the PTA to raise some funds to support some of the urgent need areas for improvement.

4. Example of a successful initiative. What made it work?

We started a student-led garden project from our SIP. This worked very well as students took ownership and took turns managing their beds. Parents do help in providing seeds and seedlings .                                                                                                                                                     .

Sister, the student led garden initiative is good as the proceeds can be used to fill gaps on resources.
