The continuous and consistent use of PMS goes a long way in improving quality teaching and learning .Teachers will ensure that they are regular ,punctual and prepare up to date records .The best way to encourage them to work harder is to update the the SLAs on weekly basis .They will adjust on time and will not likely be found wanting.
There was an instance when I was able to change the attitude of a teacher who was not regular in school. When I give him his form to sign he begged me to reduce the number of days he was absent from school, I honestly told him that I will not and he sadly walked away .That was the last time he was absent for that term.
