Leader can help by creating simple Structures that will make counselling part of their everyday school activities. For example, they can task certain teachers to handle guidance part and give them short training. Leaders can also include counselling classes in the weekly timetable so that the pupils will know when, where and how to talk about their problems. Another good way is to build a strong relationship between teachers, learners and parents. This can be done by holding regular meetings, sharing concerns together earlier, and encouraging open communication. The Senior Management Team can also encourage peer support programmers where pupils in the upper grades, liked 4 to 6, can, guide younger ones. Even in schools with few trained personnel, strong teamwork and having clear roles can make counselling more effective.
