I am glad to be part of this forum/platform. I am presently the Project Contact person for COL INSET project in Sierra Leone. Presently I am the Planning and Quality Assurance Officer at the Freetown Teachers College, Sierra Leone.
With regards the INSET Programme supported by COL, we have accomplished the following:
1. Baseline study for teacher readiness for ICT
2. Sensitization and awareness raising among School Principals, School Champions, teachers and staff of the College.
3. four draft modules and a SBTD Toolkit were developed
4. Facilitated a programme Roll-out Seminar to introduce JSS Principals, mentors, school champions and to orientate them on the INSET Implementation.
5. Baseline survey was conducted.
Presently we have started the introductory course on the SBTD Blueprint. It is going on slowly, but we are getting there.
