Dear all

I'm just joining you all from the Open University, UK. In fact as my bio explains, I retired from the University almost 10 years ago now, but have continued working with it on various projects in developing countries. I hope to be helping out on the Monitoring and evaluation of the school-based teacher development projects in Kiribati and Sierra Leone. My bio give details of my background, but have spent most of professional life on various kinds of teacher development, and since retiring have worked on several projects advising on monitoring and evaluation in Asia and Africa.

Looking forward to working with you all.

Best wishes

Bob

Hello Bob,

Welcome to the Programme Team Space for COL's Teacher Futures. You will be able to interact with in-country consultants and project contact persons in Sierra Leone and Kiribati, as well as 6 other countries at different stages of implementation of their school-based teacher development programmes. Also in this forum are consultants like yourself with assignments that cut across countries. The Sierra Leone and Kiribati teams should be joining in shortly.

We look forward to benefiting from your rich experience in monitoring and evaluation of teacher education programmes.

You are most welcome to the team!

Betty

Hello Bob

Welcome to this great Forum for Learning and development.  Looking forward to working with you all.  We in Sierra Leone need your valuable contributions.  Presently I am the Project Contact Person for Sierra Leone.

Once more you are welcome.

Thank you to Anouk, Prince, Janet and Betty for the welcome. I hope tomorrow to put up some questions and discussion points on the TF programme, with particular reference to Kiribati and Sierra Leone (though will also have bearing on the work in the other countries) and the research, monitoring and evaluation. For example, I am interested to see how you have developed the problem-based learning as clearly we will want to see how this features in teachers classrooms (currently for the baseline and in the future for the mid-line and end-line evaluations).

I'll do this in the "'anything else' forum" unless someone can tell me how to create a forum under 'Teacher Futures RM&E Forum'. :-)

Look forward to discussions with you all.

Best wishes

Bob
