1. With the rapid rise of TFGBV, schools are not yet adequately prepared to fully protect students online because they are not using this digital assets in school, they are expose at home than school especially in LBS schools.
2. The most effective ways headteachers can partner with parents, students and the communities to prevent digital harm are;
. Through sensitization on the harms or dangers of digital abuse during SMC and PTA meetings.
.It can also be done during assembly and during guidance counselling meetings.
.To train teachers and organise campaign on the harms of digital misuse.
3. Schools should not be responsible for online behaviour that occurs outside school hours their parents/guidance should be responsible because when student closed school and are no more in school uniform they are no more under their teachers care they are under the care of their parents.
My brother your comment about TFGBV is true because students are expose to digital assets at home than in the school. therefore, parents should join hands with the school authority to help them.
Agreed, but remember there is One-school-one laptop policy, besides many school has computer labs, therefore we should not ignore the school totally..
