This happened when I was at Sinchu Lower Basic School while I was the deputy headteacher. My boss, the headteacher was only left with three months ro his retirement, and therefore, assigned me with the responsibility of the SIP.
Before started the SIP, I called the Senior teachers and had a fruitful meeting on SIP with them. Then the senior teachers had similar meetings at stream level before calling on the SMC, for the same matter. Then a PTA meeting was held in which the SIP was the order of the convergence.
Among the priorities discussed was the extra or remedial classes, particularly, for the NAT class, grade 5 and mode of compensation for their teachers. This made it very easy for parents to make the compensation, and also motivated the teachers. In the end, the commitment from both teacher and parents led to a very cordial relationship, which led a the achievement of the best grade 5 NAT results ever, since the inception of the NAT.
