headteacher should reduce stress, fear and stigma amongst teachers by letting them know why monitoring and evaluation is important in the school. Headteachers need to tell the teachers that M&E helps admin know the gaps in delivery only when we monitor delivery and also evaluate output.

1. clarify the purpose of M&E and how it can help the teachers in their future life in the profession.

2. using clear, fair and transparent indicators that will help the teachers know that it will apply to all and the same yardstick will be used for all.

3. balance qualitative and quantitative information combining test scores and classroom observation, self-reliance and learners feedback provides a fuller pictureof performance .

4. teachers should be involve in the preparation of the framework that will be used during the period and also sensitise them on the usage.
