n Jiffin Lower Basic School (LBS), I use the following strategies to involve teachers, learners, parents, and the wider community in the School Improvement Plan (SIP) planning process:
1. Teachers’ Involvement
Hold staff meetings and workshops to explain the purpose of the SIP and review school performance data together.
Form SIP committees or subject, teachers contribute ideas on teaching, learning, assessment, and school management.
Encourage teachers to identify classroom challenges and priority needs, which are reflected in the SIP goals.
Use feedback from lesson observations and performance reviews to guide planning.
2. Learners’ Involvement
Gather learners’ views through class discussions, and invite head boy and girl during SIP planning meeting.
