In my school, water, sanitation and hygiene facilities are available but have some areas that affect the health of students learning environment. We have taps that is connected to the village and borehole but the supply from the village is inconsistent during the morning hours, and for the borehole we do have problems in pumping,

Some toilets are present and some poorly build because of lack of water, ventilation and essential supplies such as soap and containers,Waste bins are available but not effectively used bu students and some teachers

Improvement s

I contribute to improve WASH condition in my school by

Setting of peer health and environment club to help raise awareness

I also participated in cleaned up days locally called SETSETAL which was done by the community, teachers and students

I also digged a pitch to control and manage waste through the used of the clubs which will help in monitoring and always give feedback on this areas

Challenges

.lack of funds ( capital)

. poor and insufficient water supply

.Not enough toilets to meet the ratio

.lack of knowledge on hygiene water and sanitation for both community, students and teachers

I need to involved authorities about the needs and shortage of water in the school

Mobilize funds through fundraising with the communities and also involved partners (NGOs,Health workers)

In some public schools, toilets are too few in number in disrepair or even completely missing as a result many students avoid using them. handwashing facilities absent or not functional. many schools don't have dedicated handwashing stations with soap and water making proper hygiene difficult.
