Unit 11 Discussion: Leading with care - Guidance and counselling in schools

1. Guidance and counselling are practice in our school in an informal way due to the challenges face:

• lack ok trained personnel on guidance and counselling
• no counselling office in the school

2. leadership strategies that can integrate counselling in our school is by providing basic skill on guidance and counselling and that is done teachers can help learner who need counselling. 
3. we support teachers by giving them the support and skill in identifying and respond to students emotional and behavioral needs.
4. yes there was instance where a parent wants to give her child who is in grade six hands in marriage. after hearing the information, we counsel him and he finally revoke the decision.
