In my school guidance and counseling is practices through the supervision of the guidance and counseling board or members and this members were divided into groups

1 Academic, this involve the SMs,contract teachers, and classroom teachers and are responsible for any thing dealing with academic performance (helping the struggling students by giving them extra classes, give motivation, give advised to students when selecting subjects

2 Behavior, this involve the PTA, Mother's club, season teachers, and some SMs and their role is to deal with any thing dealing with discipline, they visit students home, discuss with parents and conduct one to one counseling.they also intervent between in between teacher and admin

3 Peer counseling is also used for social and emotional support to their fellow students

4 Parents also used through meetings in which students behavior and attendance on punctuality and students performance and discipline will be discussed

Challenges faced by the groups in implementing

.Lack of knowledge and training for some members

. Lack of resources or materials (assessment tools, counseling manuals)

.lack of human resources since my school is a big school with few peer counseling members

Lack of knowledge for some students since they do not understand the purpose

Stigma, some students feels being judged or lebeled if they visit the counselor

Lack of support from the stakeholders

You can use this as part of a portfolio interview response or school practice guideline.
Hold regular check in meetings with grade teams to discuss emerging patterns or specific learners needing support.
