In my school we use the performance management system i.e. PMS tools just like the SLA to support teacher development and supervision
1, Class observation uses structured observation templates to get feed backs from teachers and been able to identify their areas of strength and improvement,
2, supervise and evaluate in my school the PMS is used to guide the supervisor to be able to evaluate the process ensuring that the supervision was fair and consistent and again there was transparency
3, Set goals, these forms help teacher set and work towards his or her specific goals measurable achievable and relevant with time bond
3,I have faced a lot of challenges in collecting a Quality of the data, making sure that it is accurate and reliable, I have to implement data validation, and also faced not been able to have adequate resources like a technology personnel member who can help in data entry also sometimes teachers may resist the PMS so we have to address this through the CMS
engagement and involve the teacher interpreting data and translating it into actionable step is always a big challenge
4The pms can promote accountability and quality assurance in so many ways a, a set clear expectation. you establish clear goals and standards for learner's outcome and staff performance with use of resources,
identify improvement areas. this will help to analyzed data by identifying areas needed for improvement and develop strategies that has to be address.
Transparency and accountability, trying to Forster a culture of transparency and accountability and continuous improvement
In my school i was struggling with low learner out come in some core subjects like mathematics and science ,i applied pms principles to address this issue i do regular monitoring ,we track progress and also provide feed backs and adjust also create an action plan ,we use it to plan including additional support for those students struggling in these areas conduct a professional development training for teachers and regular progress monitoring and evaluate the effectiveness of the interventions' made and take decisions for more improvement,
