1.The following Leadership practices are what I used with my team that positively influence teaching quality.

a. Regular Classroom Observation:: This is implemented at least twice a term to grade the concern teacher's lesson delivery through the use of Classroom Observation Tool (COT). Their Strengths and areas for improvement are identified by the observer. This areas for improvements are used to organise a school based capacity building for teachers.

b. Spot Checking: This creates an avenue for the monitor(s) to get first hand information of the teachers' records keeping system. Teachers will also be conditioned classically to always keep up to date records that is inline with the standard way of keeping records. Pupils' exercise books are also checked by the monitor so as to see whether their books are consistently marked or not.

c. Capacity Building for Teachers: Training equip teachers to adjust on their areas for improvements professionally and academically.

2. To balance support and accountability;

 a. The SMT or Monitors regularly meet with the class teacher  and discuss the strengths and areas for improvements. Where supports are required, teachers are giving maximum supports for better delivery in class.

Class teachers are always encouraged to keep up the good work  but are never discourage.

3. Strategies to be used to celebrate teaching excellence:

    Teacher Motivation: Teachers are awarded publicly according to their performance in class. Usually it is done termly during open days and speech and prize giving ceremonies. This compels others to do better for them to receive the same awards.
