The records i rely on most in my school are the attendance of pupils and staff, academic and financial.
The attendance records of both pupils and staff helps me to know and analyse their weekly and  monthly attendance and to track their regularity and punctuality.
Academic records helps me to tract pupils progressive performance especially in the lower grade eg grade 1,2 and 3. Whiles financial records helps me to know the school budget and allocate funds effectively and ways to look for funds .
I have never faced challenges in organising or protecting school records.
With tools like SEMIS now being introduced  digital record keeping minimise paste of vanguards and papers on the walls because most of them are kept in the PC.
The practices i would recommend to other head teachers for improving transparency, accountability and service delivery through records management by sharing and discussing financial records ie income and expenditure with pupils, staff, SMT, SMC and the parent at large during meetings.
