Dear LAMB Facilitator,

These are some types of record I rely on most in my school

1. Attendance registers          2. Time Book

3. Academic report                  4. Financial Ledgers

5. School materials                   6. School statistic

How records helps us in decisions, plan activities, or report in the following ways

Keeping records in your school is very important and here are some importance of record keeping

1. It helps to track the student performance in our school and this allows the educators to address areas of concern and adjust teaching strategies

2. When records are kept it helps us to identify areas to improve on like instructions, interventions, and resource allocation.

3. Record keeping helps to inform curriculum development to ensure educational programs meets student needs and align with national standards.

4. Record keeping helps us identify the bright student in order to help them meet their targeted goals

5.  Record keeping also provide student progress evidence in time of accountability.

6. Accurate and timely records keeping helps in transparency which in turns build trust and confidence in the education system.

CHALLENGES

Some of the challenges are as follows:

1. Lack of enough storage space

2. Lack of financial resources

3. Physical and digital security risks

4. Lack of knowledgeable person on the this area

5. Inconsistent record-keeping practices.

How I addressed this challenges in my school:

1. I introduces digital record keeping to reduce storage needs.

2. I organised training workshop on record keeping

3. I draw an action plan on record keeping

4. I employed a night watchman to secure the school ground at night

With the introduction of digital record-keeping tools like SEMIS, I saw several changes that can enhance my work as a school leader

1. It helps to reduce the time and effort i should have used to make my work accurate and up-to-date records.

2. It helps me to analyse my data quickly and also informed decisions makers about student performance

3. It makes communication and collaboration among teachers, staff, and parent easier.

4. It help to protect important information safe for your personal used.

5. It also minimize paper cost and work on it

My best practices I would recommend to others headteachers is as follows:

1. Let them established clear policies

2. Let them make sure that their records are accurate, up-to-date and easily accessible to authorized personnel and stakeholders

3. Let them try to be updating their records regularly

4. Let them monitor their records time to time

MY REGARDS  TO YOU ALL
