Importance of effective record keeping.

  1. In my current school, I rely on the following most records:

       Attendance Register, Academic Reports, Financial Ledgers.

 Attendance register: This helps us to report accurate data to MoBSE and parents on the attendance of pupils.

Academic Reports: also provide the parents of their children's academic progress and decision can be taken to give extra classes on the areas for improvement.

Financial Ledgers: Do help us to make a meaningful budget   and financial planning of the resources at hand.

Protecting School Records: This is another challenge that we face in the school. Security of the hard copies of files is a problem because most at times unauthorised people will just tamper with documents (records) just to trouble the head teacher. We create an avenue where relevant records are kept in a cupboard that will not be accessible to unauthorised people.

You are quiet right Amadou security is a concern in the schools. This most be taken seriously as damages on school properties is frequent nowadays. Records are not spared.
The sector take note for this menace to stop
