Record keeping is very important in schools because they provide evidence in student safety and historical purposes.
1. Student Safety: Records help ensure student safety by tracking incidents, allergies and other critical information.
2. Historical Purpose: Records serve as a historical database, providing insight into school operations and student achievements over time,

This is very vital that proper records management are followed in order to be up-to-date.
It helps the headteacher to analysis the attendance and the performances of pupils by using the followings:
1. Attendance registers
2. Academic reports
3. Financial ledges, etc...
These helps to improve the standards of the school performance.

Record keeping is key especially with the MOBSE intervention of ONE SCHOOL ONE LAPTOP where schools are supplied with laptops to ease the burden of losing data due to loss of papers and torn of documents due interactions with files. but the idea of creating backups and external hard drives is also key in the making sure that data is not loss due to crash of viruses and technical issues.
