Greetings Madam Facilitator

Through the Ex-pupils Association of the school, the community repaired damaged furniture and constructed a market  for the school vendors. Pupils sit comfortably in class and waste no time in attending lessons after break. Pupils show greater interest in learning as results improve.

Challenges include communication gap between school and community. Written notice given to parents through children to get contacts for mobile messaging to share school updates. Stakeholders will have interest in the school as information will flow across all the time.

Regular School Management Committee and Parent Teachers Association meetings will enhance school community partnership. Through this, there will be strong trust and collaboration between the school and the community. Community members will be committed in school activities.

Your idea to strengthen communication and hold regular meetings is practical and shows strong understanding of effective school–community collaboration. Well done!

Dear Morri, building a vibrant communication system which can easily facilitate communication between the school and community will greatly improve teaching and learning especially it it has an instant feedback mechanism. one way of doing this is through the usage of social platforms such as whatsapp groups.

effective community involvement impacts positively in boosting school performance because students spend only 5hrs in school everyday and spends 19hrs in the communities, therefore when parents and other stakeholders support however little at home will obviously add to the little they gain in school. support in studies and also provision of TLMs are key.
