The Teacher Futures The Gambia Project last week (20th to 22nd June 2019) conducted its workshop on community linkage and had members of school management committee chairs, their representatives, cluster monitors and staff of the Regional Education Directorates with some Teacher Educators in attendance.

We are now ready to move to the efacilitation workshop before versioning the toolkit

Hi Aboubacarr

May I echo Prof. Junaid and commend you on making this progress.

In South Africa our focus is on professional development for digital learning.  So far we have been preparing the schools and the university to make the mind shift towards embracing digital technologies by conducting a change leadership programme over several months.  We have completed some entry level skills courses as well as the initiation of the communities of practice and we will embark on the first ICT integration course during the first week of July.

On our journey to develop online tutors at the university we had to take a few steps back after the first course did not progress as well as anticipated.  The second course will therefore commence with a face to face session to ensure that all stakeholders have the same expectations.

kind regards

Janet

We hope to be where you are one day. Digital technology in education is the future and all should work towards it.
