Unit 11 Discussion: Leading with care - Guidance and counselling in schools

1.Currently my main focus is on academic -focused (career course selection). More personal/social support. Common challenges include; limited counsellors due to teacher shortages, stigmatisation around seeking counselling and finding it difficult to engage parents or guardians.
2.Looking at integrating counselling with limited personnel, i try to leveraged teacher-student relationships, group sessions peer support and partnerships.
3.I support my teachers to spot and respond to emotional and behavioral needs through training, collaboration, resources and mentorship .
4.A named with held struggled academically and socially , but with the efford of my teacher the child in question was able to found his footing , joined one of the clubs in the school and became one of the brightest student.
