If any  headteacher wants to promote staff buy-in, open communication, and the use of M&E findings for improvement rather than blame, he or she must use the following strategies;

1. Let the teachers feel that they are valued in the process. Involve the staff in the setting of goals, indicators, and tools,(co-creation and participation).

2. Create spaces or avenues where teachers can speak openly without fear. ( respectful and safe feedback)

3. Clear communication of purpose is another strategy that helps .Emphasis should be repeated that M&E is for learning and improvement, not punishment.

4. The collaborative use of data is key. Findings must be reviewed in team meetings, not individually.(Collective responsibilities)

5. Leading by example. The headteacher must model openness by sharing for improvement.

6. The headteacher must ensure transparency and fairness.

 7. The results of the findings must be used to support staff, not sanctioning  The results must be used to train, mentor, and  peer learning.
