Schools are not adequately prepared to protect students online with the rise of TFGBV especially the Basic schools because almost all the schools are not electrified much more talking of the availability of internet accessibility and for schools to be able to access internet is a big problem. In school in the Gambia, especially in the provincial parts of the country where most of the families are below the poverty line finds it difficult to feed the family much provide gargets for internet and schools are not also equipped with computers and internet, as a result schools find it difficult to prepare their children for the TFGBV.
secondly, children live in compounds where smart phones are not available and so such students don't interact with technologies around and for such students to be prepared for protection will be practically impossible.
Thirdly, some teachers do not have access to smart phone due to several reasons and don't have them in schools to prepare their children and school administrators cannot provide it for the whole school.
So schools, parents and school communities should work together to help and also prepare their children both at home and in school by telling them the problems associated the gender based violences on the internet.
But schools cannot be responsible of the online behaviors that occur outside the school period because children are exposed to various agents of the population outside that can expose them into various violences which schools can account for.
