Mariama was a very intelligent in my school and participates well in class. She was liked by both and her colleagues. She was not only intelligent, but also beautiful. In her grade six, a youth man wanted to spoil her education on the pretext that he would buy Mariama a home and build it for her, only if Mariama was ready to marry him . He was able to convince Mariama who started behaving in strange ways to both her parents and in class.
When her parents realized that, they reported the matter to me immediately. I called the guidance and counselling committee for a meeting on the matter and team held a closed door meeting with Mariama . Without much difficulty, the team was able to convince her and the case was reported the police and Child welfare.
Mariama continued to excel until she graduated with flying colors.
