Unit 11 Reflection Forum: Your schools Current WASH practices

Greeting Facilitator,
The WASH practise i promote in my school are;
1.a. Pupils wash their hands with soap and water after using the toilet and wash their hands before and after eating.
b. Sensitising the proper hand wash during assembly.
2.Discussing the important of personal hygiene with the pupils at the assembly and at the prayer ground.
The mensural hygiene of a girls is sometimes difficult to know because in LBS many of the girls are under the ages of mensuration, but we normal counsel them and guide them during guidance  and counselling  of girls counselling meetings and the mothers club meetings.
b. The solutions i tried  to improve student access to clean water, safe sanitation or hygiene education are;
. invite a health personnel to sensitise the staff, pupils and parents during PTA meetings.
.Set up a WASH committee in the school to promote the WASH culture in the school.
