my efforts in strengthening the WASH systems in the school has been very significant.
1. with the support of the SMCs and VDCs, i was able to connect and bring a water pipe into the school and make it accessible to all children because children especially the young and disable children found it difficult to draw water without the support of others.
2. provide rams for children with disabilities to be able to use the school toilets with easy access and also provide soaps for proper handwashing at the toilets.
3. provide tip-taps in various places in the school especially around the kitchen to children to wash their hands before and after eating.
4. establish a peer health club in the school to help in sensitisation of children on the importance of handwashing, hygiene and environmental cleanliness.
