I use assessment data to monitor progress in my school. Students' performance is being tracked by monitoring their attendance
Identify students' understanding by analyzing their performances during or after an assessment.
I can recall an assessment strategy that unblocked learning is the issue of continuous monitoring and assessment of both teachers and students.
The challenge initially was the use of the assessment data tool, which the newly promoted teachers were not conversant with. The leadership decision that shaped the outcome was that I decided to develop the capacity of three teachers to support the assessment process.
Steps I can take to foster a schoolwide culture of reflective assessment, where feedback, collaboration, and inclusion guide instructional decisions:
Develop assessment policies that will benefit both teachers and students
School leaders take up the leadership roles and share experiences.
Increase the culture of giving and getting feedback.
Consider the process of inclusion; include those concerned
Always recognize students' success in assessment
How can leadership help reduce anxiety among students and teachers, especially in high-stakes environments?
Communicate positively and give clear instructions
Give adequate assessments, such as mock exams to prepare students well
The digital tool and staff support systems used are the IT teacher and the computers to analyze data and track students' performance.
