1. I have used the PMS tool the SLA forms in my school. I first discussed the information in the booklet and sign it with the SMT and the teachers. I used it to record their punctuality and regularity, i also used it to record the number of scheme of work prepared per week and the number of lesson plan prepared with and without teaching aids. I used it to filled the remarks after every four weeks i discussed with the teacher concern the areas where support is needed.
2. The challenges i faced is how to enter the data in the booklet, example indicator actual and indicator target especially on attendance. Indicator target absent and late is my problem.
What is the indicators target for absent and late
Sometimes teachers also delay in giving their records if they are asked for it to be marked and entered in the booklet they usually delay time if they are not up to date.
3. PMS document can be used in many ways;
-It can be used to account for teachers if they are writing their scheme of work, planning their lesson plan and preparing teaching aids weather they are up to date or not.
There was a particular teacher in my school this teacher will prepare his scheme of work and teaching aids but will not plan his lesson. His lesson plan is always not up to date the first time i went to his class i found that he was not up to date i advice him and recorded zero in his SLA on the potion lesson plan developed and i ask him to sign he complained and sign. The following week when i went to his class for lesson plan i found that he was up to date. Teachers don't want bad comments on their records it force them to be serious.
