In this  modern era, data is not be used just for reporting, but should also be used to improve teaching and promote equity in schools. If this is done efficiently it becomes a very powerful tool in supporting  teaching, strengthening learning outcomes, and makes sure that every learner has the chance to succeed, regardless of his/her ability or background. Teachers can use assessment results,  attendance records, learner profiles, and classroom observations to plan instruction that matches learners' needs. Data also plays a very vital role in  promoting equity.

When teachers use data assessment as a learning tool rather than just reporting and administrative requirement, responsive and  positive learning results and desired goals can be achieved.
