As community participation plays a pivotal role in the development of the school, the Bakau Development Committee spearheads initiatives that promote community engagement and support. An example of a project initiated by the community is erecting a borehole, a garden and an orchard. this development is crucial as learners use both the garden and the orchard for learning purpose, and this contributed on their performance as they feel and see the fruits and vegetables
The challenge I noticed was the issue of transparency, as some of the projects were not managed as promised and there was no proper data or record keeping.
The challenges were addressed through open discussion, dialogue and sharing of responsibilities with proper record keeping by following the action plan being developed.
Suggested strategies that could enhance school- community partnership:
Have an action plan develop, conduct regular meetings, have open dialogue.

This is a good initiative Saffie. These efforts will go a long way in making sure that students benefit from clean drinking water and time wastage in search for water will be minimised. You could also create a WhatsApp platform for easy communication if there is none.
