Greetings,
I'm Melisa Achoko Allela from Nairobi Kenya. My duties here revolve around developing Standards for Design and Integration of Microlearning Resources in the School-Based Teacher Development. During the later part of last year, this involved customizing the appearance of the TeacherFutures moodle site and related brand design for the TeacherFutures programme. More recently I've been working on the Microlearning resources page, which will be constantly evolving based on your feedback.
I trained as a graphic designer, worked as an animator and moved gradually into eLearning focusing largely on designing multimedia learning resources and building teachers (Lecturers) capacity in authoring Multimedia resources. The resolve to move to multimedia content authoring was further strengthened through participation in the Audio Visual Learning Materials training programme in Belgium. I also teach Interactive Media Design courses at the School of Creative Arts and Design, Technical university of Kenya. Prior to my current teaching engagement, I worked as a Graphic Designer and Multimedia resource specialist at the eCampus of Maseno University.
When I'm doing none of the above, I am a wife, PhD candidate and a practicing digital media artists who experiments with varied tools and technologies including creative coding, VR , and experimental animation to explore their storytelling potential.
