I hope everyone is doing well. I'm currently managing a PRINCE2 project for my organization, and I've come across a bit of a challenge. While the PRINCE2 methodology provides comprehensive guidance on stakeholder engagement, I find myself in a unique situation.
We have external stakeholders who have significant influence on our project's direction but are not formally part of our organization. They've been vocal about their expectations, but at times, these expectations seem to diverge from our project's primary objectives.
Here's a brief description of my situation:
Stakeholder Influence: These external stakeholders, due to their market position, have a lot of influence over our project's eventual success.
Differing Views: Their vision sometimes runs counter to our project team's understanding of the scope and deliverables.
Communication Barriers: Being external, there's a level of formality and occasional communication delays which can be challenging.
I'm keen to understand if anyone here has faced similar challenges and how they've incorporated the PRINCE2 principles to ensure effective stakeholder management in such situations. Are there any specific strategies or tweaks to the standard PRINCE2 processes that you'd recommend?
Thank you in advance for your insights and advice.
