- What categories of SEN are most visible in your school, and how do they impact teaching and leadership decisions?
The categories are sensory impairments ,Teachers and parents of those pupils are always invited to a meeting where we discuss on how to help them ,During this meetings the SEN focal person is invited to give advise to both parents and teachers with regards to how to better support pupils in their academic journey.3
3.How do you currently identify and support learners with SEN? Are there tools or strategies you’ve found effective—or gaps you’ve noticed?
In extreme cases pupils with SEN are referred to specialists for treatment and and advice
.There is always a mentor for those classes who is constantly monitoring their learning progress and document to track their progress for any decision making process,.
4.Collaboration is key: How do you engage teachers, families, and external professionals in supporting learners with SEN?
At the beginning of each academic year, families and professionals in SEN are invited to the school as mentioned above to discuss on how to help the pupils at home in school and in other facilities to make learning easy and enjoyable to them as their peers in school.
5,Finally, reflect on impact: What changes have you seen in learner progress or school culture as a result of accommodations, adaptations, or behaviour support strategies?
It is very difficult to relate SEN to performance in my school because all the pupils are given the support they need to learn .The pupils with SEN are given special attention and extra motivation to be regular and punctual as well as give them presents at assembly to boost their confidence and dignity. ,The SEN students in my school are doing very well.
