In implementing school improvement plans SIPs. i have faced a lot of problems one of which is staff involvement and ownership. Teachers see SIP as the responsibility of the administration rather than a shared one. I addressed this by involving staff in identifying school priorities setting clear targets and assigning clear roles which increase commitment.

Another  challenge is resistance to change  especially introducing new monitoring practices such as teachers monthly attendance data which teachers have to sign every month.  I over come this by communicating the purpose  and  the benefits of the change.

Finally, monitoring and evaluation was initially poor due to lack of data  and skills. I solve this by keeping record, using simple monitoring tools  and reviewing progress with staff to make adjustments.

Overall, these challenges have helped me learn the importance of collaboration and flexibility in successfully implementing SIPs
