Stakeholders may see the SIP as a compliance document rather than a tool for change .This challenge was address by involving the stakeholders at a staff or PTA meetings and explain the purpose of the SIP and how it links to the teaching and learners needs.
The initiative that emerged successful from my SIP , was that the school data shows frequent absenteeism and late coming of students in the afternoon shift and it really affected learners performance.The initiative applied was the tracking of attendance by the class teachers and the parents were also involved ,and within a short period of time ,their was improvement in both the attendance and performance.
