1, what does resource management mean to you in your school context?
Resources are important to reach goals in any school. Resources management enables the head teacher to plan at any level and use the resource to the best interest of the school. Resource management is the process in which the head teacher regulates and allocates the right resources to improves and maximize efficiency. It includes planning scheduling and allocating resources to the right project.it minimizes wastage and ensures that resources are allocated to the right places.
Some important skills needed in resources management in schools are
(a) Prioritization – (balancing the resources against the demands)
(b) Good planning and utilization
(c) Good communication/sharing (transparency)
2. Can you share examples of effective resources management practices you’ve seen r implemented?
1. it helps to keeps the management and school on track
2. it helps minimize the over loading and underutilizing staff which helps motivates staff
3. Enhances the fill or maximum utilization of resources
4. Enhance good quality delivery
3.How do you currently motivate and supervise staff? What HR strategies have worked well or need improvement?
To encourage staff to perform effectively and efficiently in their job for the benefits of the pupils is one of the most important responsibilities of the headteacher. when leaders motivate their staff, they without doubt perform well. Here are some few suggestions that heads can use to motivate their staff
a. INVOLVEMENT AND PARTICIPATION: head teacher should always try to involve staff in decision making especially in matter that affect them directly. This practice helps the staff to have a sense of ownership and it promotes participation.
b. GOOD COMMUNICATION SKILLS: head teacher should have good communication skills to be able to pass information in simple and clear terms where staff members would be able to comprehend the objectives, purpose, and the results achieved in the school.
