In this final module, your goal will be to develop lesson plans utilizing virtual labs and simulations in STEAM teaching and learning.

You'll evaluate your plans for their effectiveness and long-term sustainability in the light of best practices, and you'll complete your final activity, a STEAM lesson plan of your own. This reflective process will serve as a springboard for continued growth and innovation in STEAM with virtual labs and simulations.

At the end of this module's activities, you will be able to:

  • evaluate the effectiveness of your lesson plans along several dimensions from pedagogical alignment to feasibility,
  • assess your own current teaching practice in light of a set of best practices for teaching STEAM with virtual labs and simulations, and
  • prepare for the sustained use of virtual labs and simulations in your teaching through a sustainable action plan.

There are three discussion forums for this module, where you'll be asked:

  • Which aspects or dimensions of evaluating a lesson plan will be easy or challenging for you to implement?
  • What is your own personal best practice?
  • What commitment will you make towards a sustainable action plan to improve your practice and advance your professional teaching career?

Finally, at the end of this module, you'll be asked to complete your final IVLST Lesson Plan activity and fill out an end-of-course survey to unlock your certificate.
