The ten key questions for secondary teachers are:
- Why do teachers need to engage in professional development?
- What makes a good teacher?
- How can we make learning more active?
- Why are the questions teachers ask so important?
- Why are explaining skills so important to successful teaching?
- How can teachers improve their school and subject knowledge?
- How can the teaching of your subject be improved?
- How can teachers use the local environment?
- How can teachers involve parents/guardians in their children’s learning?
- How can teachers continue to develop professionally?
You will see that the first three questions are general and require discussion activities. Questions 4–10 all involve discussion with colleagues and activities you can carry out in the classroom.
